There are different opinions on the problem of using the Internet. Some people think that this is the worst thing that has been invented ever. There are also people who consider that it is not as bad as it could be. I personally think that the Internet is the best invention ever. To begin with, the Internet is a huge base of data that let us to find different useful information in just seconds. Moreover, the Internet helps people to get acquainted with another ones from all over the world or to keep in touch with your relatives and friends who are away. In addition, the Internet allows people to work wherever they want to without going to office. However, some people suppose that the Internet is the biggest evil of our time because there are a great amount of persons that can deceive you and it takes a lot of time that we could spend for more useful things. The author writes that eairlier (around 30 years ago) wavy and curly hair were associated with unprofessionalism – “belief that often comes with racist connotations”. Reflection Note 2 Semester

  It was very interesting and productive course of academic writing that my groupmates and me had in the second semester. During this semester we have learnt different things that were useful for writing well-developed essays, reports and reviews. We tried to use as many writing techiques as we could.     Also, we used many sources, one of my favorite was the Guardian magazine which contais lots of articles on different topics from politics and economic to culture and lifestyle. It helped me to find information that could be necessary for me.    The tasks that we did were useful enough. I not only have improved my writing skills as well, but have enriched my vocabulary. I hope that I'll continue writing practice and it'll bring me good results.

  In the last few years, the problem of legalizing marijuana, or cannabis, is frequently discussed around the world. There are different opinions concerning this problem. Some people consider that legalizing cannabis will not bring bad results. But, there are also people who are sure that it should be banned in case to not to harm people’s health.   As for the advantages of legalizing cannabis, firstly, it is a good treatment for avoiding illnesses. A lot of patients are able to use marijuana as an effective method of treatment for their ailments. This is possible in the USA because fourteen state governments across the country have acknowledged cannabis’ effective healing properties and legalized its consumption for medicinal purposes with the consent of a licensed physician. The article “Back to books: the joy of slow reading” written by John Miedema is devoted to the discussion of the value of the influence of the way of reading on the people’s mood. First, the author draws the readers’ attention to the fact that slow reading “cuts stress, improves comprehension, and increases empathy”.
